Every day, our team provides high-quality patient care through ground and air ambulance services, medical communications, mobile integrated health/community paramedicine programs, 911 Public Safety, 811 Telehealth, home health care, as well as clinical training.

At Medavie Health Services Operations, our team members are dedicated to building a healthier Canada and supporting the needs of the culturally diverse communities we serve. We are looking for a Director, Finance MHS Operations who will be focused on supporting our day-to-day operations across several provinces.

Reporting to the Director, Finance (Corporate), the Director, Finance MHS Operations is a key member of our Finance team, overseeing the daily accounting operations for the Division, and providing guidance on strategic financial decisions for the Division’s financial health. You are flexible and adaptable and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role oversees monthly financial reporting of the Division, and successfully prepares the month end reporting package and forecasts. The Director will also prepare the annual operating and capital budget for each subsidiary unit within the Division, and including a consolidated Divisional budget. Excellent leadership abilities, including the ability to manage a remote team, excellent problem-solving skills, ability to multi-task while meeting tight deadlines are just a handful of the skills required. The incumbent embraces a great team spirit through effective collaboration working with operational leaders and other support functions. Your diligence, commitment, optimism, and persistence get the job done.

As the Director, Finance MHS Operations, you will have a post-secondary degree in either Business Administration or Commerce with the professional designation of Certified Professional Accountant (CPA). Your education will be complimented by a minimum of at least (8) years of directly related work experience, with 3-5 of those years in a leadership position. Preference for those who have managed at a senior management level. Experience with acquisitions and costing of RFP’s considered an asset. You must have experience with compiling financial statements and monthly financial reporting. Your verbal and written communication skills are well established and you are self-starter who demonstrates initiative and are comfortable working independently. You are have a meticulous dedication to detail and accuracy while having the ability to work appropriately with confidential and sensitive information.
