Medavie Health Services New Brunswick is the subsidiary of Medavie Health Services responsible for the optimal operation and management of EM/ANB, an integrated, service-led primary health care organization. As the management company for Ambulance New Brunswick and the Extra-Mural Program, we are looking for a Director, Human Resources to help support our growing operation, which provides exemplary, highly coordinated primary health care in the right place, from the right provider, at the right time.

Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, Medavie Inc. and as a member of the Senior Management team at MHSNB, you will provide direction and best practices in HR that are in alignment with Medavie’s vision, mission and values. You will work within the shared service model team to assist in the development, implementation and execution of all HR strategies, programs, and initiatives while providing oversight and leadership to the HR team in recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, health and safety, performance management, compensation and benefits, policy development and compliance and all other areas within HR.
As the Director, Human Resources, you will have a post-secondary education specializing in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration or relevant discipline and carry the designation of Chartered Human Resources Professional (CHRP). Your education will be complimented with a mminimum of ten years’ experience in a leadership capacity, preferably in a unionized environment, including five years in management with significant depth across the various HR functional disciplines and proven ability to lead a team of HR specialists.
Your communication and presentation skills are well established. You are a decision maker with a creative approach to dealing with complex situations along with sound business judgment coupled with dispute resolution and negotiating skills. You conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct You work independently, are an effective team player who is highly adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You actively participate in outstanding customer service and accept responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all
Bilingualism will be considered an asset for this position. Travel is required.
