November 10, 2014

(MONCTON, NB) – Ambulance New Brunswick and Medavie EMS are pleased to announce that Matt Crossman has been appointed to the position of President of Ambulance New Brunswick effective November 17. As part of this new appointment, he also became the President of New Brunswick EMS, the Medavie EMS subsidiary company that manages Ambulance New Brunswick through a long-term contract.

In his new role, Mr. Crossman will be responsible for leading the creation and implementation of the organization’s strategic plan. He will build on the success of the system while maintaining close relationships with various stakeholders and communities.

“I am pleased to welcome Mr. Crossman to Ambulance New Brunswick and look forward to working with him to provide New Brunswickers with a top notch ambulance service,” said Honourable Victor Boudreau, Minister of Health.

Originally from Sackville, New Brunswick, Mr. Crossman is a former Paramedic Instructor who also worked for Ambulance New Brunswick before becoming the organization’s Manager of Vehicle Safety Programs. With close to 15 years of extensive experience in Emergency Medical Services, Mr. Crossman has spent the past three and a half years as head of Island EMS, Medacom Atlantic and Island First Aid Services. Under his leadership, Island EMS established itself as a highly-valued and critical arm of the province’s health care delivery system.

“I believe Matt’s return to New Brunswick in this new capacity will provide strong and decisive leadership as Ambulance New Brunswick continues to evolve the people, processes and practices it needs to serve New Brunswickers,” said Erik Sande, President of Medavie EMS.

In addition to being a Primary Care Paramedic and an Executive Member of the Paramedic Chiefs of Canada Board of Directors, Mr. Crossman studied Emergency Health Services at Dalhousie University and most recently completed a Master of Business Administration.
