Leading the Way
Our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy is led by our Director, DEI and supported by our DEI Council. Comprised of diverse thought leaders and influencers from across Canada, our council is passionate about DEI and dedicated to ensuring that Medavie is continuously progressing towards a more inclusive environment.
Inclusive Choices
We ensure we use inclusive language and imagery in everything we say and do, from our correspondence with members and communiques with clients to our marketing materials, social media posts and online content. We also offer members inclusive choices on our forms.
Inclusive Benefits
As part of our ongoing efforts to support a diverse Canadian workforce, we continue to expand our benefits offering with inclusive options, including our Gender Affirmation Benefit, which supports gender-diverse plan members in their gender transition.
Community Giving
As a not-for-profit organization, we partner with health-focused, community-based diverse and inclusive organizations to support initiatives that share our goals of fairness and equality and who work to remove barriers to care.
Leadership Development
We connect intention with impact by driving inclusive behaviours at all levels of leadership across the organization including training to help leaders understand and manage unconscious biases and inclusive leadership.
