Chatham-Kent EMS Announces Appointment of Jeff Brooks as General Manager

Chatham-Kent EMS (CKEMS), emergency ground ambulance and pre-hospital care provider for the Municipality of Chatham-Kent, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeff Brooks as General Manager.

“As a demonstrated leader in emergency medical services, Jeff brings more than 30 years of experience and key knowledge in the delivery of clinical and pre-hospital care,” said Donald MacLellan, Director of Mobile Integrated Health for Medavie Health Services and former General Manager of CKEMS. “It has been my pleasure to serve the community for the past 11 years. Jeff’s passion and proven leadership will help continue to provide innovative solutions and the best possible care for our community.”

Previously, Jeff was the EMS Department Deputy Manager for the County of Lambton Ontario, where he provided exceptional leadership focused on high-quality patient care and established strategic partnerships with allied agencies. Jeff is certified as an Advanced Emergency Medical Care Assistant; he holds a graduate diploma in Emergency Management and a Masters of Public Safety from Wilfred Laurier University.

“I am honoured to join the CKEMS team to support the mission of improving the wellbeing of Canadians,” said Jeff Brooks, General Manager of CKEMS. “This is a highly skilled team doing incredible work to bring care to patients in the right place, at the right time. I look forward to building on the success of the team as we focus on providing collaborative models of care in the community through our partnerships.”

Chatham-Kent EMS works in collaboration with numerous health care and community partners. Chris Case, Fire Chief, Chatham-Kent Fire and Rescue welcomed Jeff to the role and thanked Donald for his contributions.
